[News] Arcade Fire Announce More UK Summer Shows

A few weeks ago a lot of UK music fans got all flustered when Arcade Fire announced a huge headline show set for London's Hyde Park following in the footsteps of many a big band before them.  The band will be supported by Mumford & Sons, Beirut and The Vaccines at this date. This morning however,  the band has just confirmed a few more shows for summer 2011 in sunny ol' England and Scotland. Following their great album The Suburbs, and with rumours of another release coming as soon as March, the band will play 2 dates in late August/Early September. One date (much to my joy) is set for Manchester Evening News Arena on Wednesday the 31st of August with a show the next day at Edinburgh Castle on September 1st.

Now this could just be me but Leeds & Reading Festival take place the weekend prior to these dates, finishing just 3 days before these two newly announced dates, just sayin'. It could just be wishful thinking on my part once again. Either way, Arcade Fire are set to play some huge shows in the UK this year. To purchase tickets for these two newly announced dates head on over here. If you haven't grabbed your Hyde Park ticket yet either there are still tickets available over here, but act fast to avoid disappointment!
