[News] Jay-Z to play Carnegie Hall

During a Shawn Carter Foundation press conference this morning, Jay-Z announced that he will be performing two shows at New York City's famed Carnegie Hall. The two shows will be on February 6th and 7th, with all proceeds going to charity. Limited tickets will be sold privately starting December 12th, while general public tickets will go on sale starting January 30th at 11:00am EST. Here's what Hova had to say about the chance to perform at Carnegie Hall (via RapRadar):

Its every artists dream to play a venue as legendary as Carnegie Hall. The fact that I can use the arts and my talent to benefit the education of the next generation of artists, entrepreneurs, and great thinkers makes for a legendary night. I’m proud to be a part of the continuing work of United Way of New York City and expanding the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.”
